Something is missing, the connection between the Flash movie and the program, or in other words, the connection between the .fla and the .as files. It is done by entering the name of the .as file in the .fla.

Open the Flash movie, or change windows to it if it is already open. Select the menu Window->Properties, or alternatively press Ctrl-F3. If the properties dialog box doesn't show Document you must select the document by clicking just outside the stage.

Save the .fla.

It is now possible to see the result by testing the program. Press Ctrl-Enter or possibly use the menu Control->Test Movie . If there are no errors Flash will generate an .swf file and execute it in it's own window.
